Korakis Spoon Sweets Olive

Since 1937, the Korakis-Marinos family in Chios has been crafting spoon sweets the traditional way, following authentic Chian recipes passed down through three generations.

This olive spoon sweet is one of Greece's most distinctive confections: whole olives (45%) slowly preserved in a delicate sugar syrup with a whisper of citrus, transformed from their natural bitterness into a jewel-like sweet with a complex, lingering flavour unlike anything else.

In Greek culture, glyko tou koutaliou is the ultimate gesture of hospitality — offered to guests alongside a cold glass of water and strong Greek coffee. Serve it the traditional way, or spoon it over thick Greek yoghurt, vanilla ice cream, or a mild creamy cheese.
