Nescafé Classic is the instant coffee behind Greece's national summer drink — the frappé.

Pure Robusta beans, roasted and ground to a fine instant powder, packaged in Viotia, Greece by Nestlé Hellas.

Spoon it into a little cold water with sugar, whip it to a thick foam, pour over ice: the ritual has barely changed since a Nestlé sales rep improvised the first one in Thessaloniki in 1957.

One 200g tin makes roughly 50 frappés or 70 cups of hot coffee, and it's the version most Greek households reach for by default.
